The map, once again, locates the Silent Sands bay access and dock off Pilot Dr, just 1/4 mile south of Reef Dr.

This photo shows the entrance to Pilot Dr off the Cape San Blas Rd, about 1/4 mile north of the Scallop Cove BP.

Now we're looking directly down Pilot Dr. The Silent Sands community dock is just to the right of the cottage at the base of Pilot Dr.

Once you drive in, Pilot Dr opens up into a large turning circle, so there is plenty of parking space.

This is a closer view of the dock terminus showing the handy bench seat for watching sunrises and the steps down to the water.

Here we are looking north up Pig Bayou at the navigable channel behind Pig Island.

This photo is looking south down the bay and toward open water. FYI, all of these photos were taken about 1 hour after a very low tide so there is plenty of water.

Turning around, this view shows the small cottage, which also shares this dock amenity.
