"Gorgeous house with beautiful views of the gulf. Nicely decorated and clean and spacious. We loved our own private pool, hot tub, fenced in backyard, fabulous fire pit area, and path that leads to the gulf/beach. It was perfect for our 3 families (3 couples + 5 children -aged 15-23 and a dog). We loved that there were three bedrooms with king beds and dressers for clothes in each of these. One had a private bathroom attached. And there were lots of additional bathrooms. The two bedrooms for the kids were great for sleeping, but didn't have any room to put their clothes. In the two queen bedroom, it would be nice to replace the chair in the middle with a little dresser for their clothes. We had 3 boys share the (6 beds) bunk bed room. It worked since they each had an additional bed to store all of their clothes. But not sure how it would work if there were actually 6 people in that room. All the beds were comfortable. We were very pleased.
Parking was limited. The two vehicles parked one in front of the other worked well. It was the 3rd vehicle we had to work at getting it to fit.
The pool was fabulous and a great size! We opted for it to be heated. It was so nice to be able to switch back and forth between being in the pool and enjoying the beach. It was a nice little walk to the beach on our private walkway. However, it would be hard for people who struggle with steps or walking down hills to get to the beach. But for our group of people it worked great.
The 2nd floor was a great open floor plan for the kitchen and giant (super comfortable) couch. The kitchen was well stocked. Great gathering area for our group. We could all eat our meals together if we wanted, or watch tv together on the couch. Or you could just step out on the screened in porch and eat or relax out there with the gulf view.
The only thing I think we were missing in our house was the red hammock. But other than that the pictures they show online do a great job of showcasing the house.
We were just an easy walk away from the convenient store/gas station. We ate a lot of our meals at the house. Everything shuts down in this little beach town quite early. Not a ton of restaurants close by. But you'll want to make sure you drive to Apalachicola - maybe 20 -30 minutes away. Historical super cute town with lots of great little clothing shops and a few restaurants/bars.
