Owners are supper nice and helpful. Place is beautiful and super clean as always. This was our second year here. And we love the house and I'll say the "simi" private beach. Super quite and peaceful. Kids had a blast on the sandbar! Hope the Windmark expansion doesn't kill this atmosphere.

This house was amazing!

This was an amazing house. It was beautiful. This was a first time for all of the kids and a couple adults to go to the ocean. And this house just topped it all. Our first day their we got to see a small shark and lots and lots of sting rays. Didn’t know it before we went before but one of the locals told us about it being sting ray month. It was so neat! The walk to the beach wasn’t bad at all either. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect quiet getaway for a large family!

We loved this home! It was private and our kids enjoyed the large concrete area underneath the home to skate and play on. There was a tire swing that was a surprise to us. The home had everything we needed including a very large washing machine! When you are taking a large family to the beach, that is a plus for all of the towels. We rented a three person kayak and walked down to the beach both days. We never felt the need to go to a different beach, the kids had a great time so we stayed close to the house. We only ever saw two other people, so we basically had the beach to ourselves! The kids found lots of critters and were excited to see stingrays in the water. We had trouble finding the bike trail at first, but if you took a left out of the house, you would get to it. The trail was really fun for riding bikes and roller blading. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend Ava’s Beachhouse! Port Saint Joe is beautiful!

My children, pets and I stayed for an extended stay during off season in one incredible place. Ava’s Beach house located in Port Saint Joe. This house is like no other. Privacy from all unobstructed views. The location is dreamy. The house is so well built. Every last detail of this place will leave you wondering if you’re really living.. it’s magic. The house features museum like artifacts of both local and personal effects. No room is spared in character, comfy furniture and a home like atmosphere. Whatever you need is there. From the beach and supplies needed, to an outdoor kennel attached to the rear of the house. A swing and toys for the kids.. culture. Nature. This is it. Out of all of our military travels, nothing has ever been so good. We loved it so much, we decided to buy here. Thank you Fergson family. Thank you for sincere home. It is so good to find a great place to land.

I always read a ton of reviews and rarely give places 5 stars but everything was perfect about this place and the mgmt company that runs it. Great communication upfront and over text message they always got back to us with moments. The house was perfect and decorated pretty fun. We had 11! 3 families with kids and everyone was comfortable. The house was stocked with everything we needed and even beach chairs, carts, toys ,etc. We loved the porches both screen and open air. It's a 2 minute walk to a PRIVATE BEACH. We never even saw anyone but one time people were fishing 50 yards from us. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks!

A perfect spot for some serious downtime

After “sheltering in place” due to COVID-19 and subsequent fear of being at a crowded beach, we searched for a quiet place that could accommodate our family and our two dogs. Ava’s Beach House provided just that. Much to our delight, we discovered that we were right beside 2 1/2 miles of undeveloped and protected beach. The early morning strolls provided epic shell finds. Additionally, the road beside the protected stretch of beach is blocked and not accessible for vehicles. We all enjoyed bike riding with no fear of cars.
The beach house was perfectly clean, well appointed and private. There is an area under the house that is perfect for riding out the afternoon pop up showers. We played pickle ball and corn hole and had plenty of space to do so.
The grocery store (Piggly Wiggly) is five miles away from the house. Port. St. Joe is a cute little town with a great pizza place - Joe Mama’s pizza.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Best vacation spot

"For the past few years we have been trying out different beaches in Florida to find our perfect place . Well I think our searching can stop here . We got exactly what we’ve been looking for , clear water and no crowds . The areas was perfect for our family of 5 kids . The location of the house was very safe for kids to walk back and fourth as they wanted to without me having to go with them everytime . Also loved that their was plenty of yard for kids to rides bikes and our fur babies to roam . The water was perfect for kids as most of the day their are no waves and never any currents or big waves or no high/ low tides . Kids did a lot of swimming and snorkeling . My husband enjoyed all the fishing near the pier . What we loved most about this beach was no crowds or no silly rules about umbrellas or tents or certain hours for dogs . We were able to put our easy up tent and dogs were able to stay out all day . As far as the actual house , it was absolutely beautiful with lots of windows in front for perfect view of water and sunset every night . The owner was one of the best that I’ve ever had contact with during any of our vacation rentals . Was always responsive and made sure we had everything we needed . I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet secluded place for just you and your family to have lots of outdoor fun . We will definitely be back "

Dawn went above and beyond for our family. The yellow flies reared their ugly, ankle biting heads and Dawn sent a bug ball to the property. I accidentally left my toiletries at the house and a Dawn promptly shipped them. The customer service is top notch. We will be back.

Gorgeous, almost deserted dog beach with shells

"What a week on one of the most deserted beaches in north Florida. The water was crystal clear and my 5 year-old granddaughter could easily swim and play without my having to watch for the next big wave. The house is beautiful, there is a fenced yard for your dog and so much room under the house for playing games or grilling the catch of the day. The quaint little town of Port St, Joe is only 5 miles away yet since the beach house is off the main road, there was little traffic and much of the road is blocked off so you can ride bicycles along the bay and beach with no fear of automobiles. This home was a real gem, super clean and the folks at Natural Retreats were vey helpful. Can't wait to come back next year."
